This is a collection of five scarf patterns using some of my favorite reversible stitch patterns. These patterns are easy enough for new knitters but are interesting enough to keep a seasoned knitter happily knitting away! Worked in your favorite worsted weight yarn, these patterns look lovely in solid or multicolor - the textural stitch patterns compliment the variations in hand-dyed yarns nicely.

Repeat amounts necessary for the various stitch patterns are included, so you can cast on more stitches for finer yarns or less stitches for bulkier yarns.

Finished measurements: 7” wide x 60” length (note that the length can be altered to your preference, but more or less yarn will be needed accordingly)

Gauge: 18 stitches and 24 rows = 4” in stockinette stitch using size 8 needles. Adjust needle size as necessary to obtain gauge.

Needles: US 8 (5mm) knitting needles

Yarn: 400-430 yards of worsted weight (CYCA #4).
Yarn recommended in pattern is Manos Del Uruguay “Maxima” (100% merino wool; 218 yds/100g), 2 skeins for one scarf.

Additional Materials: Tapestry needle. Stitch marker or row counter is helpful to keep track of rows.
