This fast and easy doll shawl will fit a 19” tall BJD or doll about that size. A shawl is very flexible in sizing. This shawl is designed to fit around the doll and button in the back but it can be styled in different ways. The shawl is knit sideways to make it easier to adjust the length for different dolls.
A heather-y, tweedy or color-changing yarn will make the shawl more interesting. I used larger than normal needles (U.S. #7) with sock yarn to get more drape. It took about 3 hours to complete the shawl. At gauge, the shawl is 5 inches at its widest and 18.5 inches long.

Model is Dollmore’s 19” Illua with a chest circumference of 8.5”.

Skills needed: cast on, slip, knit, kf&b, k2tog and bind off in knit stitch. Optional: YO for buttonhole

Gauge is not critical in this pattern. Any yarn/thread will work. Blocking is optional. Make a swatch to check gauge and appearance.

56 yards of Kroy Socks FX yarn will make 1 doll shawl. 1 166-yard skein will make 2 doll shawls.
Optional: one 1/4” diameter button
