Easy Side to Side Summer Top
This is a very simple pattern that is adjustable to you: your yarn, your needles, your body, your stitch pattern! Do the gauge swatch in the yarn, needles and pattern you want, then do the math and fill in the blank spaces. The sweater show used Araucania Ranco Multy and took only two skeins. It’s a great way to use fingering yarn for a nice light summer top. However, the pattern can also be adjusted with heavier yarn for colder weather. Or go smaller for baby!
The stitch pattern I used goes as follows:
Row 1: (KW2 twice, KW3 twice, KW2 twice, K6) Repeat
Row 2: K, dropping all extra wraps
Row 3 & 4: K
Row 5: (K6, KW2 twice, KW3 twice, KW2 twice) Repeat
Rows 6-8: repeat rows 2-4
KW2: Knit, wrapping yarn around needle 2 times
KW3: Knit, wrapping yarn around needle 3 times
NOTE: E=half the bust width…this means half your bust size. So if you are a 36” bust, E=18.
