This bag is worked from the bottom up using increases to create a round flat bottom style tote bag. It is a beginner friendly pattern that only uses half double crochet and single chain stitches.

This tote bag is large enough to use as a beach bag and to use for grocery shopping.
Lying flat. Radius of bag is 9 inches.
20 inches wide along opening of the bag.
17 inches wide.
15 inches long not counting handles, 25.5 inches long with handles.

Yarn is carried along the inside when working the stripes. I prefer this method for less ends to weave in at the end.

Straps are worked off the bag for an easy bag that is seamless.

This bag uses a weight 5 bulky weight yarn. I used Knit Picks Billow cotton yarn. I used 2 colors and used 230 of one color and 220 of the second color.
You can easily use 1 color for this project for a total of 450 yards.
