This scarf was made with a P hook, 11.50mm (which wasn’t an option above). Gauge and hook size are really not that important, the larger the needle, the more open the mesh becomes. The smaller the needle, the tighter the mesh will be… with tension also being a factor. The finished size is determined by the foundation chain and can be altered for children sizes, plus sizes, etc.
