Easy Tube Scarf

This is a very fast and easy knit. Good for beginners although the big needles can be a challenge for new knitters. The pattern was inspired by a scarf/shawl seen on a TV show.
Knitted in garter stitch on big needles, this is a loosely constructed scarf. It is really cozy and can be pulled up over your head when it gets cold.
Gauge is not really important. It does have a tendency to stretch so tighter is better than too loose. Any bulky yarn should give good results.
