This cowl is knit in the round with a four stitch pattern repeat. This is a very basic colorwork pattern. I think it would be good for a first colorwork project. The cowl may be lengthened or shortened by adding or subtracting multiples of 4 stitches. This project took 2 skeins (1 of each color) of Earth Treasures worsted weight alpaca. Each skein was 100 yds and there was almost none left when completed.
If you make the project longer, please adjust the quantity of yarn for the project. Any worsted weight yarn will work.
