This version of the Ebb and Flow Lace pattern is no longer available. An updated version is available here.

The lace stitch used in this scarf and shawl is totally reversible. The pattern of the lace flows from knit to purl and back again; it reminds me of the tide.

The alternating stockinette and reverse stockinette stitch causes the fabric to push out and then recede, ebb and flow, as well.
