Ebb Tide Cowl
The cowl is designed in panels of ‘Knit-One-Below’ Brioche stitch, bordered by Garter Stitch. If you can knit Garter Stitch, you can make this easy Brioche cowl. There are no yarn-overs, no slipped stitches, and no purling required. Knitted flat, it may also be twisted to become a Mobius upon completion.
Optional items include a ‘folded’ i-cord edge, and a provisional cast-on. Included in the pattern package is a .pdf illustrating a new, simple provisional cast-on: the All Thumbs Provisional Cast-on.
Also included is a .pdf illustrating the Knit-one-Below Brioche stitch used for this completely reversible cowl.
The pattern adapts easily to any weight of yarn from lace weight to worsted weight. Using a gauge needle resulting in a slightly loose garter stitch, the Brioche Rib Stitch will produce a soft, squishy cowl.
Hope you will ‘favorite’ this pattern!!
