Ebony Socks
by Kari-Elyssa
These gorgeous African print socks are inspired by animal print (zebra and cheetah, specifically), and in turn, translated into geometric stranded knitting motifs arranged in a repetitive pattern. The name “Ebony” was chosen as the wood from the tree of the same name (Diosyros ebenum) also shares a similar coloring to the brown and black areas of the sock. Ebony is also a common name among many people of the African diaspora.
