This beret is inspired by sea urchin shells; I wanted to capture the beautiful design they have. The bow is optional but was added with the idea of achieving a more feminine look.

DESCRIPTION
It is knitted from the bottom up seamlessly in the round. It begins with a twisted ribbing, 12 equal sections are knitted, separated from each other by a zigzag pattern until reaching the indicated height. It is closed with simple decreases, and you can add a bow or pompom at the end.

GAUGE
22 sts x 34 rows = 10cm /4″, worked in the round in stockinette stitch with 4.5mm / US 7 needles.

YARN
Merino Baby Alpaca Lurex (66% baby alpaca, 30% merino, 4% lurex, fingering weight, 400m / 437yds per 100g skein)
OR approximately 300m / 328yds of fingering weight yarn.
AND 20g of fingering weight yarn in a contrasting color for the bow or pompom.

• 4.5mm / US 7 circular needles, 60cm / 24″ length or double-pointed needles for working small circumferences in the round.
• 3.5mm / US 4 circular needles, 60cm / 24″ length

Esta boina está inspirado en el caparazón de un erizo de mar, quise representar el hermoso diseño que tienen. El lazo es opcional pero fue agregado con la idea de obtener un look más femenino.

DESCRIPCIÓN
Se teje desde abajo hacia arriba en redondo. Se comienza por la pretina en punto elástico retorcido, se tejen 12 secciones iguales separadas por un diseño en zig zag hasta alcanzar la altura indicada. Se cierra con disminuciones simples y se puede agregar un lazo o pompón al final.

22 pts x 34 vts = 10 cm, tejido en punto jersey en redondo con palillos de grosor 4.5 mm.
