Echo Lodge Socks
For extra pattern information, check out the Mountain Song Designs Substack post: https://open.substack.com/pub/mountainsongdesigns/p/meet-...
These toe-up socks are as special as their inspiration—the sweet cast of characters who gather at Echo Lodge in Anne of Avonlea. The simple, mirrored lace is reminiscent of their traipsing through the woods in search of wild strawberries and wood nymphs. The innovative heel fits exactly like a heel flap and gusset, using a creative twist of techniques.
The Echo Lodge Socks are perfect for self-striping yarn—sometimes you need more than a vanilla sock for those beautiful skeins! The contrasting color on the heels, toes, and cuffs will allow the stripe pattern to remain consistent.
This pattern includes charts and written instructions, and includes both video and photo tutorial support. The pattern has been tech edited and test knit.
A few of the test knitters had never knit toe-up socks before. Now they are excited to knit toe-up socks in the future because they fell in love with this heel, and because the pattern walked them through the process.
