“Echoes Of The Past”

This design has been created as part of my episode collection for season 6 of the Outlander story.

It is based on a traditional sontag design using approx. 600m of DK yarn, this wrapping of the shawl was the way the women of the time kept their upper body warm and it’s a style that has had recent comeback through Outlander and also Little Women.

Its name therefore relates to the style echoing the past and being a style that’s as comforting to wear today as it was in eras of the past.

The pattern is adaptable in size and is a pattern suitable for a beginner upwards, it incorporates knit and purl stitches with an introduction to simple lace stitch to create the centre spine.
