The Ectoplasm Shawl is a part of the Geek-A-Long pattern series. The Geek-A-Long was created to raise awareness for Child’s Play Charity. $1 from each sale of this pattern will be donated to Child’s Play. So wind up your yarn, warm up your needles, and congratulate yourself on making the world a little brighter.

Inspired by Dana Barrett’s “Spook Central” apartment building, the Ectoplasm Shawl features mosaic knitting and an accentuated center panel in the top-down triangle shape, which blunts the point of the piece and gives it an Art Deco feel. It’ll leave you asking, “Are you the gatekeeper?” Whether you’re meeting the ancient Sumerian deity Gozer or grabbing lunch with the Keymaster, the Ectoplasm Shawl is an elegant piece that will punctuate any outfit.

Worked in soft, luxurious Interlude Yarn by Lattes & Llamas, this shawl is perfect for Advanced Beginner to Intermediate knitters who are comfortable with following charts. Stitches used include:

k2tog - knit 2 sts together
kfb - knit into the front and back of the st
k - knit
p - purl
sl wyib - slip with yarn in back
sl wyif - slip with yarn in front
