Notes on construction
The hat is knit from the bottom up, starting with a provisional cast-on, which is then knit together with the last round of the 1x1 rib brim to secure the fold in place. The main body of the hat and crown are worked in the slip stitch pattern.

Yarn
Suggested Yarn: John Arbon Textiles, Yarnadelic Sport / Heavy 4ply, sport weight yarn (100 g / 333 m; 3.5 oz / 365 yds; 100% Falklands Corriedale) held double.
Main Colour (MC): 85 (130, 165) m /90 (140, 175) yds / 1 skein. #BlackGoldoftheSun (black)
Contrast Colour (CC): 45 (65, 85) m /50 (70, 90) yds / 1 skein. #OrdinaryJoe (beige)

Needles
Main body and crown in motif:
4 mm US 6 - 40 cm 16” circular needles (or DPNs) or the required needle size to obtain the correct gauge. You can use a longer cable if you prefer using the Magic Loop method to finish the crown.
Brim:
3.25 mm US 4 - 40 cm 16” circular needles (or DPNs) or 0.75 mm US 2-3 smaller than the gauge needle size.

Other notions
7 stitch markers (1 different from the others), row counter (optional), tapestry needle, waste yarn and 3.5 mm / US 4 crochet hook.

Gauge
21 sts and 42 rounds = 10 x 10 cm 4 x 4” in Windowpane Motif** worked IN THE ROUND, after blocking.
