Eddies Cowl is a larger, worsted-weight cowl that shares a few ideas with the recent smaller ones! At a roomy 36”/91cm in circumference, some wearers will be able to style this as a capelet as well, as it’s big enough to go over some shoulders.

This project takes about 2 skeins of Malabrigo Yarns Washted, or, as shown in the sample, as much Malabrigo Washted as you’ve got and then some scraps to finish up with. I worked color changes right as I went into the eyelet part of a given pattern repeat, but this was one of those necessity-borne inventions rather than the plan.

It’s probably an intermediate-level project—the knitting itself is beginner-friendly, but the construction may present a challenge if this is taken on as a second or third project. The puzzle-construction elements are simple—just enough for an interesting knit and a visually appealing finished cowl.

Materials:

• 400 yds or 2 skeins of Malabrigo Yarn Washted or similar worsted-weight yarn
• 1 24-48” circular needle in US8/5.0mm, or size needed for gauge.
• Tapestry needle
• Removable stitch markers

Gauge:
Gauge is 16 sts and 34 rows over 4”/10cm of blocked garter stitch, worked flat. Please be sure to check your gauge.
