Edge buckled vest
This pattern includes reference videos of each course.
Edgy buckled vest is worked from the top down with a contiguous method. It’s constructed with open sides that offers good mobility with slender shoulder lines for a stylish silhouette. It works well for both formal and casual wear, with a double-knitted belt that is secured with a buckle around the waist. Utilizing the contiguous method and double-knitting, the seamless design allows for reversible wear.
Cast on with Judy’s magic cast on and knit a double neckband in the round.
Continue knitting in the round by working on the neck shaping with the German short rows while the shoulder sts increase. After the neck shaping is done, keep increaing the shoulder sts until it reaches the shoulder-width.
After completing the shoulders, work front and back flat and knit in the ribbing on each end to prevent curling.
The belts are connected to the front/back bottom hem with double knitting. Specifically for the back, attach the buckle.
To avoid the vest’s side edges becoming loose, slip sts along the side edges using a crochet hook.
