Notes From the Designer:
•This pattern is worked as 2 large squares and a long skinny rectangle, which is used to seam the squares together and add a little depth. I liken it to the pillows I made in Home Ec in high school when I was learning to sew. You can stuff it lightly, or go crazy with the Poly-fil for extra cushioning!
•I went went a smooth stockinette for the large squares, because texture under my bum would drive me crazy when I’m trying to zone out and relax. I didn’t deny my love of texture entirely, however; the side piece is knit in garter stitch for just a hint of something different.
•I’ve been watching a lot of Absolutely Fabulous lately, and when I started thinking about the squish squish factor of this pillow, I knew I had to name it after Edina. I was also thinking about the time she goes to a retreat to find herself and falls off a stool at the first session. She probably would have managed much better with this fabulous floor cushion!
