Edinburg and Tyler Cloths
Have a little fun with your dishcloths or face cloths! This pattern has two stitch patterns using only knit and purl stitches. This makes this pattern set a good candidate for the novice knitter. The instructions are written and charted. Use 100% cotton worsted weight yarn for maximum absorbency. These instructions produce a dense fabric that wears well.
Edinburg is located in far South Texas, USA, in the Rio Grande region. It is the county seat of Hidalgo County, Texas. This is one of the counties that shares a border with Mexico. Tyler, located in Northeast Texas is known as the “Rose Capital of America”. It boasts having the largest rose garden in the United States. I have sat quietly in that garden in June, taking in the sensory delights of colors and fragrances and bird songs!
Make several, fold into quarters, stack them one atop the other, tie with a pretty ribbon and give as a gift!
