EDINBURGH Fingerless Mittens - Knitting Pattern (9 pages with color photos)

SIZE - Women’s (one size fits most); increase needle size 2x for men if desired (shown - worsted weight “Big Twist/Joann’s” with US size 5 straight needles)

Take a boring worsted weight yarn and make something striking. A very easy textured pattern, along with an offset seam detail, creates a quick and interesting set of fingerless mittens taking little effort. The project is KNIT FLAT using straight needles, so even those intimidated by DPNS can achieve great results. NOTE: This project does require a single seam, which becomes a decorative design element. Some experience with seaming a clean knit edge (the easiest of all edges) may be helpful.

SKILLS ASSUMED:
Cast on/Bind off
Knit, Purl
Knit front and Back (kfb)
Mattress Stitch/Seaming* on a clean knit edge (one seam each mitten)
A diagram is included with the pattern, along with helpful hints. Online knitting videos are plentiful for a quick overview.
