The Edith Beanie came from a spare skein of WAK The Wool, my love for a beanie. I also needed a quick project to take in the car with me! I really like Andalusian stitch and wanted something simple but different to standard stocking stitch! It takes less than 1 skein of WAK The Wool (I will list more budget friendly suggestions lower down) and can be knitted up in one evening. This pattern is completely beginner friendly, a nice and simple first beanie pattern with no seaming.

Materials:

  • 9cm circular needles with a 40cm cable (Or a longer cable if you wish to use magic loop)
  • 60-80m of a super chunky yarn.
  • Large darning needle
  • Scrap yarn or stitch holders

Alternative Yarns

  • Marriners chunky yarn held double
  • Paintbox Super chunky
  • Cygent seriously chunky
  • Style craft XL Super chunky
  • 4/5 strands of any DK (This definitely needs gauging due to how broad DK thickness can be)
