These little chicks are perfect for both fun toys or easter decorations! They each have a little egg inside and if you squeeze and wiggle the chicken, she’ll pop the egg out!

You’ll both get the pattern for the chicken with room for an egg inside, the egg and the rooster without anything inside (and you can make the chickens without the egg as well).

THIS IS WHAT YOU NEED:

• Crochet hook: 2.5 mm
• Yarn: I’ve used 8/4 cotton - super fine weight (170 m / 50 g) (8 g for the chicken, 1 g for the egg and a little light orange for the beak / 7 g white, 1 g red and a little orange for the rooster)
• Stuffing
• Stitch markers
• 6 mm safety eyes

STITCHES YOU NEED TO KNOW:

Mr - magic ring
Sc - single crochet
Ch - chain
Slst - slip stitch
Hdc - Half double crochet
Dc - double crochet
Inc - increase
Dec - decrease

SIZE:

The chicken will be 5.5 cm / 2 in if you use same yarn and hook size as me. You can use other sizes and/or yarn if you want a bigger or smaller result.
