Inspired by that wonderful Canadian children’s show, Toopy and Binoo, I am delighted to present the latest EGGSES crochet pattern for a Ragdoll Cat and his Patchy Friend! A knitted version will be available too.

They take only very small amounts of yarn, small amounts of time, but provide many hours of enjoyment! Though they are Egg Cosies, designed to keep your soft-boiled egg warm at the breakfast table or to keep your hardboiled lunchbox egg protected from bumps, they will also be popular as a toy! You can make a stuffed toy egg to use as play food, and they also make marvelous pocket pals to take along and play with on car trips!

I used worsted weight yarns from my stash--Red Heart Supersaver Solids, and others. I used a 4.25mm hook, and a 3.5mm hook for the embellishments. Use a yarn and hook that makes the cosy/toy the size you want! Gauge is not critical in these little items, especially if they are being made primarily as toys.

There are 2 Egg sizes given and each can be made as a stuffed toy or as an opening cosy.
