This zombie is worked bottom-up and requires nearly no seaming.
The mouth and eyes are chocheted in and require no additional sewing. Instead of weaving in ends, you can just poke the ends to the inside.
Usig recomended yarn and hook size results in a zombie that is about 40 cm (15 inches) tall. Below is an overview of zomby-height as a function of hook size:
Hook size | zombie height (excluding hat) |
---|---|
4 mm (F/5) | 40 cm (15 inches) |
3 mm (C/D/2/3) | 25 cm (9.8 inches) |
1.25 mm (10/11) | 12.5 cm (5 inches) |
Note that changing hook size will dramatically impact the amount of yarn needed to make a zombie.
The tophat is a design/pattern by Sarah Hearn and can be found here.
