This pattern was inspired by Ola’s one million giraffes-project on http://www.onemilliongiraffes.com/ The goal was to collect one million giraffes within one year. He made it!

This pattern was made from Sheila Nelson’s Giraffe doily - she generously allowed (and even encouraged) me to tamper with it. I don’t know how to fill in co-authorship in the pattern form, but she definitely belongs there! Hers is the giraffe pattern, mine the band around it.

Any size 10 crochet thread will do - in fact feel free to replace the yarn at will if you use a slightly larger hook than normally (because of the Tunisian stitches).
