Egyptian Gods: Ma'at and Sekhmet
Ma’at was the ancient Egyptian goddess in control of the stars, seasons, and the actions of mortals and deities. One of her responsibilities was to weigh the souls of the recently deceased against her feather, to determine if the dead could enter the afterlife.
Sekhmet was the goddess of war and healing. She has the head of a lioness, the fiercest hunter known to the Egyptians. She has also been interpreted as a divine arbiter of the justice of Ma’at.
Each doll is around 22cm tall. The pattern could also be used to make dolls of other Goddesses e.g. Bastet, Isis, or an ordinary human, angel, or cat-person.
