Eight Ounces
It received the name “8 ounces” because the idea was to use 4-8 ounces of handspun or “special yarn” with the Highland Chunky. You can see the Orange version was done in all Highland Chunky but there is information on how to do it with handspun as well.
-Knit in the round bottom up to the colar then worked in raglan sleeves still. The collar/hood is picked up and knit on. It has minimal finishing.
-Hooded or just a collar which looks like a shawl collar but is NOT worked that way and the sleeve length is optional - 3/4 or full.
-Sizing is from 34 inch to 54 inch - exact chest measurements - you decide your ease. I made mine in 2 different sizes (You can see the grey hoodie is bigger). I liked the orange one that had a little negative ease better.
-uses 4 to 8 ounces of handspun if you choose - there is yardage information so you can choose to use handspun at the collar/hood or not.
