Die Mütze wird von oben nach unten gestrickt. Damit es zu Beginn etwas leichter geht und nicht mit wenigen Maschen und einem Nadelspiel hantiert werden muss, wird der Anfang gehäkelt.

Die Anleitung ist für Wolle für Nadelstärke 4 oder 5 mm geeignet. Der Rand wird mit einer kleineren Nadelstärke gestrickt.

Sowohl Weite als auch Länge der Mütze sind ganz leicht dem jeweiligen Bedarf anzupassen.

Der untere Rand der Mütze lässt sich vielfältig variieren. Die Hauptanleitung bezieht sich auf die Mütze auf dem ersten Bild. Für dieses Muster sind eine ausgeschriebene Anleitung und ein Chart vorhanden.

In der Anleitung gibt es noch zwei weitere Beispiele (nur mit Chart) für den Rand.

This hat is worked from the top down. To make it easier in the beginning and avoid handling just a few stitches on a DPN set, the beginning of the crown is crocheted instead of knitted.

You will need

Needles:
• (1) DPN set and (1) circular needle in the chosen (same) size (either 4 or 5 mm [US6 or 8])
• (1) circular needle (50–60 cm [20–24 in]) half or a whole size smaller than the main needle (3/3.5 or 4/4.5 mm [US2.5/4 or US6/7])
• (1) crochet hook in the same size as the larger needle

Yarn:
• depending on desired size, 50–100 g [1.75–3.5 oz] in main color (MC, color A) matching the needle size
• 20–25 g [0.7–0.9 oz] in contrasting color (CC, color B)
• for two-colored border 10–15 g [0.4–0.5 oz] in each of 2 contrasting colors (col B and C)

Yarn suggestions to match needle size 5 mm [US8]:

• Gobi by Atelier Zitron (yardage 80 m/50 g [88 yds/1.75 oz])
• Luv & Lee by Atelier Zitron (100 m/ 50 g [110 yds/1.75 oz])
• or other yarns with comparable yardage

Yarn suggestions to match needle size 4 mm [US6]:

• Alpakaqueen by Schoppel
(100 m/50 g [110 yds/1.75 oz])
• Lima by Drops (yardage 100 m/50 g [110 yds/1.75 oz])
• Baby Alpaka DK by Fair Alpaka (yardage 100 m/50 g [110 yds/1.75 oz])
• or other yarns with comparable yardage

The pattern is suitable for any yarn that can be knit up on 4 mm [US6] to 5 mm [US8] needles. Both its depth and circumference are easily adjustable.

Following the main pattern will yield a hat as shown in the first photo. The stitch pattern for this hat is charted as well as written out. Additionally, the decorative border in the bottom part of the hat can be modified in many different ways − two examples with charted border are included in the pattern (these two additional ones are not written out, only charted).
