“Happy Birthday” to this “Genius” Scientist. I made this Einstein crochet applique pattern today just to celebrate his birthday. I loved his expression of showing his tongue in one of his pictures, so blended it in my applique pattern. A fun and easy pattern for all of you. Enjoy!

I’ve heard people from the past talk to me, some famous and some people from my past who have passed on. They don’t talk to me in a physical sense. In physical sense, it won’t make sense at all, which means, it will all sound gibberish. But it is true, at least to me.

They talk with me in signs and symbols, in synchronicity. Guys, Einstein was with me, literally while I was making this pattern. He said that his blessings are with me while I make him into a crocheted art.

Since a past couple of days, I’ve been feeling drained. Being an empath, that happens to me sometimes. You know where I’m leading with this, right? Yes, Energy! Drained as in I was feeling energy-less.

So when I finally sat down to write this pattern, it hit me that he’s trying to tell me to ponder upon his formula and find a solution to increase my energy level. ( Edit: I now know that it is meditation that can help me restore my energy level)

Whenever, I think of Einstein, his famous formula E=mc2 pops in my head. E=mc2 means Energy (E) equals mass (m) times the speed of light (c) squared (2).

Ok, so yes, I’m a bit of a science nerd. But here is the easily understandable meaning of this formula. On the most basic level, the equation says that energy and mass (matter) are interchangeable; they are different forms of the same thing. Under the right conditions, energy can become mass, and vice versa.

Many years ago, I was doing Vipassana meditation. Once during meditation, my body turned all into particles. I felt all light and I could see each particle with my mind’s eyes. Yes, my eyes were closed, but it really happened to me. It did happen at the speed of light and felt like an eternity, yet it was only for a few seconds.

Because, I’m such a curious cat, I opened my eyes to see if this was happening in the physical world too. The moment was lost, and the particles turned into the solid mass body as if the particles were never there. But it still feels too real that I’m not able to let go of this experience.

What I’m trying to say here:
Mass = Body
Light = this happened at the speed of light, my body felt light and there was light all around me.
Energy = Particles, Vibrations, Shakti, Life Force, Chi, Ki, Soul, Spirit

We all are energy. We are born from energy and we go back into universal energy. So, in truth, we have always been present into the universe in some form or another.

I’m called a Crochet Scientist” by some of my very close friends because I can crochet just about anything. So this project is really close to my heart because I get to show my love for science through my favorite media that is crochet.

I’ve been meaning to write this applique pattern from quite sometime now ever since an idea popped in my head to crochet this Genius scientist. When I made the Tiger cub pattern and added it on my T-shirt, I knew I had to make Einstein applique for one of my other T-shirts.

I love graphic T-shirts and what is better than being able to design my own graphic tee in crochet. So I went and bought a solid black T-shirt just for this project. “Happy Birthday” to this great scientist due to whom we enjoy so many wonderful inventions.

As for this pattern, I just realized that each crochet stitch is important. One stitch can change the shape of a crochet pattern. I noticed this especially while making this famous physicist’s hair.

Don’t be intimidated and think that this applique is difficult to make. On the contrary, it is quite a simple pattern. Only basic crochet stitches are used, mostly single crochet. Also, I’ve added plenty of pictures to help you along the way in making this pattern. So, it should be really simple to make.
