Is it a flower, a sun, a wheel, or a coronavirus? Whatever you call it, here’s a cowl to keep you warm as winter fades.

The sample was knitted in fingering weight yarn, but the pattern could also be worked in heavier yarns. The cowl is easy to resize. Instructions to change both the circumference and height are given in the pattern.

The contrast colour highlights are made using duplicate stitch. They can be easily omitted or worked in the primary contrast colour.

The yardage breakdown is as follows:
145 m / 159 yards fingering weight yarn in main colour
50 m / 44 yards fingering weight yarn in contrast colour 1
100 m / 109 yards fingering weight yarn in contrast colour 2

This pattern is available for free. Please pay it forward: show solidarity and do your part to prevent the spread of Covid-19.

This cowl is part of my series Among the Æsir, named for the Norse gods and their world. Eir is the Norse goddess of health.
