Eira
Eira…snow in April. Sweatermaker yarn makes a debut with Lichen and Lace in this soft, airy, light wrap knit during snowy in days in April here in Campbell River, BC. The blend of silk, mohair and merino is accented with little beads for a special added touch.
Eira is a “right-angle” triangle with increases all at the same edge. You will be working with 3 “balls” of yarn. The Lacy Chain border is knit by alternating 2 rows with Lichen and Lace and Sweatermaker. Intarsia method is used for the Little Flowers portion of the wrap. The wrap commences with a point and works to the cast-off border. The Lacy Chain Panel forms a border along one side of the wrap, (right border, right-side facing while knitting) while the Little Flowers open lace work and bands of garter stitch rows will continue to increase to the left. I include a tidy 4-stitch edging at the beginning and end of each row. Finish off with a band of garter stitch rows and a Picot Edge Cast-off.
