“THE INSPIRATION for this tank top came from some of the sweaters in the Shetland Museum from the 1930s - the era of working garments being transformed into daytime clothes to be worn for entertaining guests,” says Mary Henderson. “I wanted to use traditional Fair Isle motifs with a tangy twist of colour. The mitred neck and armhole edges give this top a close fit, and also simplify the shaping. The soft handle yarn from Scheepjes makes it comfortable to wear next to the skin.”
