El Craneo - Knit Skull

Discontinued.
This digital pattern is no longer available online.
These adorable knit skulls are great for Halloween decorations, Dia de los Muertos, or any lover of all things goth (and cute)!
Quick and easy, this can be knit in just a few hours. One skein of white Cascade 220 will make many skulls, so you get a lot out of one little pattern. Use black Cascade 220, or any black yarn of your choosing to embroider the eyes, nose, and teeth. Want to make it a sugar skull for the Day of the Dead? Go wild with colorful embroidery!
Materials:
- Cascade 220 (white) 1 skein
- Any black yarn from fingering weight to worsted (I recommend worsted)
- 1 set of US Size 6 wooden DPNs, or size to obtain a tight night. If you’re a very loose knitter, you may want to go down to US size 4, and if you’re a very tight knitter, you may want to go up to US size 7 or 8. You just want to make sure there are no gaps between your stitches that stuffing could stick out of.
- Tapestry needle
- Fiber fill
- Stitch marker (optional)
