This simple wrap adds glamour to any outfit.
This pattern was originally designed as a one-skein project for the Stitchjones Yarnageddon 2014 Yarn Club. For the June theme, “Real Life Wild Women,” my inspiration was Celia Cruz, the Queen of Latin Music.
In addition to her powerful voice and exuberant stage presence, Celia Cruz was also a fashion icon, known for her stunning neckwear and bold outfits in strong colors.
The octagonal motifs in the semi-solid Power Reds colorway are an homage to the titular whip spider in “El Guaba,” from her 1986 album, La Candela. (You can see a live performance here on YouTube.)
This pattern is available for FREE on my blog here.
The free version is supported by advertising on my website. The downloadable PDF for sale on Ravelry includes the full pattern in one printable file without advertisements.
