Elbengold is worked seamlessly from the top down. First short rows are worked back and forth to create a higher back neck before starting the stranded color work yoke down to sleeve separation. When the yoke length is reached, sleeve stitches are placed on hold and then the body is worked in rounds down to the ribbed hem. For the fit of the lower body choose between a straight fit, a slight A-line or a more pronounced A-line. Finally sleeves are worked in rounds down to the cuff. No finishing required.

For the stranded color work yoke choose between two variations. In Variation 1 some long floats have to be catched in the last rounds, in Variation 2 this is avoided.

Yarn:
Any Fingering weight yarn with approximately 437yds/400m/100g that gives you the proper gauge will work well.

The sweater on the photo is worked with:
Main color: ColourMart Cashmere/Geelong 4/20NM fine fingering wt (708yds / 730m per 150g), col. Earth 2. This yarn is comparable to the yarn Noble by Holst.
Contrast Color: Ruppert Garne Lacashmi (410yds/375m per 50g), col. Desert held together with 1 strand of ITO Shio (525yds/420m per 40g), col. Persimmon and 1 strand of Stellaris (612yds/560m per 25g), col. 181 Gold by Kremke soul wool.

If using the original yarn, you´ll need 1 skein of Ruppert Garne Lacashmi, 1 cone of ITO Shio and 1 cone of Stellaris for all sizes. For the main color you´ll need 2-2-2-2-2-3 cones of ColourMart Cashmere/Geelong

Yardage:
The given amount for the contrast colour refers to the fact that only 1 yarn is used for this purpose. For a combination of several yarns (like the sweater in the photo – see notes above), this amount is required by each of the yarns.

Elbengold wird nahtlos von oben nach unten gearbeitet. Zunächst wird der hintere Halsausschnitt durch verkürzte Reihen angehoben. Anschließend wird die Passe mit dem schönen Muster in Runden gestrickt. Nachdem die notwendige Länge der Passe erreicht ist, werden die Ärmelmaschen stillgelegt und zunächst der Körper fertig gestellt. Der untere Körper kann gerade, mit leichter A-Linie oder einer stärker ausgeprägten A-Linie gearbeitet werden. Zuletzt werden die Ärmel in Runden gestrickt.

Die Anleitung enthält für das Muster der Passe zwei Varianten. In Variante 1 sind in den letzten 8 Runden längere Spannfäden einzuweben, was in Variante 2 vermieden wird.

Garn:
Geeignet ist jedes Garn in Sockenwollstärke mit einer Lauflänge von ca. 400m/100g, das zur Maschenprobe passt. Wegen des Farbstrickmusters sollte das Garn nicht zu glatt sein.
Der Pullover auf dem Foto wurde gestrickt mit:
Hauptfarbe: ColourMart Cashmere/Geelong 4/20NM fine fingering wt (730m/150g), Farbe Earth 2. Dieses Garn ist vergleichbar mit dem Garn Noble von Ruppert Garne oder von Holst.
Kontrastfarbe: Ruppert Garne Lacashmi (375m/ 50g), Farbe Desert zusammen verstrickt mit 1 Faden ITO Shio (420m/ 40g), Farbe Persimmon und 1 Faden Stellaris (560m/ 25g), Farbe 181 Gold von Kremke soul wool.

Garnmenge:

Die Angabe für die Kontrastfarbe bezieht sich darauf, dass nur 1 Garn hierzu verwendet wird. Bei einer Kombination mehrerer Garne (wie bei dem Pullover auf dem Foto – Details s. oben) wird diese Menge von jedem der Garne benötigt.
