Oversized comfort and a dramatic asymmetrical pattern of knots on diagonal bands. The ribbed sleeves and collar puts the focus on the Viking knot pattern and the Misty Wool yarn adds interest. Front and back are fairly challenging to knit, the rest is a breeze.
The knot pattern is complex but logical and as the diagonal travels across the piece, there are fewer and fewer knots, until they are all gone. Front and back are mirror images of each other so the last diagonal bands meet at the shoulder. The sleeves are shaped at the top so that the drop shoulder won’t create too much under arm bulk.
