Eleanora Shawl
This stunning lace shawl pattern includes both written and charted instructions, allowing you to choose your preferred method or use both in conjunction to check your work. Although many purl rows are “active,” with lace stitches worked on both sides, there are some “resting” rows to give you a breather. The lace pattern quickly becomes intuitive, making even the non-resting rows smooth and satisfying to knit. The result is a shawl that’s both beautiful and a pleasure to create.
This pattern has been professionally tech-edited and tested for accuracy by knitters like you.
DETAILS & CONSTRUCTION:
This shawl is knit asymmetrically, beginning with 5 stitches and increasing 1 stitch on every right side row. The Lacy Stitches Pattern has a repeat of 7 stitches and 40 rows. Rows 2-24 have “active” purl rows. You will use the Key to work the stitches in reverse according to the WS stitches. Rows 26-40 have “resting” purl rows. You will purl the stitches in the Lacy Stitches pattern on the wrong side. The Lacy Stitches Pattern is worked throughout the entire shawl creating a stunning piece of wearable art. It is finished with a beautiful looped bind-off for a perfect complimentary finish.
Included in the instructions are when to place stitch markers. They are highly recommended to ensure a beautiful final product.
