INTRODUCTION: Adding some electric feel to your knitting with this design! This shawl was originally designed for a mystery knit along, #electricfeelMKAL, at the start of 2021 for a new project for a new year to feel renewed and refreshed! Hopefully, this little pop of brightness and color will spark some energy to tackle whatever is ahead in any year.
DESCRIPTION: unique triangle shape shawl with slip stitches, knit/purl stitches, eyelet details, striping, and I-cord bind-off.
YARN: Fingering weight yarn- single ply or twisted, preferably solid, tonal, or lightly speckled.
Need 3 different colors, approx. 400 yds/365m each. Total yardage: 1200 yds/1095m
** Color C should be your POP color. **
Sample knit with (pictured above): Mitchell’s Creations, “Lagniappe Sock”, 4-ply Sock, 75% Superwash Merino, 25% Nylon, 100 Gram/463 Yards
CA: Cuppa Love, CB: Seafoam Daisies, CC: Electric Shock
NEEDLE: US 4 / 3.5 MM or any size needed to obtain gauge
GAUGE: 28 sts by 40 rows in 4”/10cm (in garter stitch after blocking)
NOTIONS: stitch markers, gauge ruler if needed
FINISHED MEASUREMENTS: Approx. 82”/208 cm at longest and 32”/81 cm at widest
