Elefanthuen | A Balaclava for all Sizes
Balaclavas are quite popular in Denmark because of the cold weather. We call them “elefanthuer”, so elephant hats. This one is made for child and adult sizes, because everyone need something to keep their head warm this winter.
BTW if anyone is interested in translating this pattern I would love to hear from you :-)
Sizes: head circumference sizes 1 44 cm / 17.25 inches, 2 46 cm / 18 inches, 3 48 cm / 18.75 inches, 4 50 cm / 19.5 inches, 5 52 cm / 20.50 inches, 6 54 cm / 21.25 inches, 7 56 cm / 22 inches, 8 58 cm / 22.75 inches, 9 60 cm / 23.5 inches
Yarn: 100g of a Fingering (4-ply) weight sock yarn, 26-32 sts per 10cm/4 inches
Needles: 3mm / US 3 circular needles and 2.5mm / US 2 circular needles, 150 cm / 60 inches
Notions: tapestry needle for weaving in ends, blocking wire/pins, 1 stitch marker
