This beautiful stocking features an Elegant Angel with feathery wings. It’s knitted flat, with regular heel and toe sock shaping except that you won’t be working on double pointed needles - the seam runs all the way to the toe, so no working in the round! The Angel is intarsia with the face embroidered in after the knitting is complete.

I wrote the pattern for worsted weight yarn, although sport weight would yield a slightly smaller stocking. The pattern includes color chart for Angel plus another chart for the complete alphabet in both upper and lower case letters.

Gauge is 5 sts per inch on US Size 6 (4mm) needles.

Finished size is approximately 7-1/2” wide and 26” long.

The stocking calls for Worsted Weight yarn in the following colors and amounts:
Light Blue - 250 yards
Light Pink - 90 yards
Dark Pink - 40 yards
Smooth White - 65 yards
Gold Metallic - 45 yards
Fuzzy White - 35 yards
Brown - 15 yards
Pale Pink or Flesh color for face and hands - 3 yards
Royal Blue for eyes - about 16”
Dark Pink for mouth - about 10”
