The Elemental: Noble Gases & Halogens is from my “SCIENCE IS BEAUTIFUL” series. Noble Gases and Halogens are the most colorful elements on the periodic table. Each element is depicted with its accurate electron configuration with “electron” beads in the color of the element. This is the second of three designs involving elements (see also, Elemental: Birth of a Supernova and Elemental: Colors of Metal).

PATTERN NOTES:
You will need 1 skein (440 yds) each of the yarn listed in the following colorways; FOR GREY SHAWL - Sterling, Black, and Natural, FOR RED SHAWL – Fiesta, Black, and Natural, or FOR BLUE SHAWL – Marina, Black, and Natural.

You need US 7 (4.5mm) DPNs, 16” (40cm) circular, and 40” (100cm) circulars, US 10 (6.0mm) 40” (100cm) circulars, and a size 1.00mm crochet hook for beading.

You will also need size 6.0 beads in the following colors/amounts: 2 red-orange (He), 9 pale yellow (Fl), 10 orange-red (Ne), 17 pale green (Cl), 18 lilac (Ar), 35 reddish-brown (Br), 36 white (Kr), 53 violet (I), 54 blue (Xe), 85 black (At), 86 clear (Rn)
