Elementary Cowl
Elementary cowl is designed as a way to enjoy some lovely yarn using basic garter and brioche stitches to make a fun accessory.
This project can be a mix and match adventure. There are a few different brioche motifs available to knit which you can combine in your own unique way. Check the last photo for some ideas.
Or you can choose to work only with basic brioche ribbing and garter (especially if you are a brioche beginner) and still create a stunning + squishy accessory. The pattern is written for both fingering and DK weights.
Many thanks to Marian of Marianated Yarns who kindly let me use her gorgeous Scrumptious HT fingering yarn for this design. (Blue sample)
I named this Elementary Cowl because the pretty little squares reminded me of the arrangement of elements in the Periodic table. Also, the project aims to provide the elementary skills needed for brioche knitting. :)
