The Elena Mitts are available on Payhip
The Elena Mitts are named after my dear friend, Elena, whom I first met at the gym almost 17 years ago. I started going back to the gym right after my daughter was born, and I didn’t know anyone. Elena was one of the first people to come up to me and introduce herself, and we have been friends ever since. We have been through so many things together over the years raising kids, birthdays, graduations and losing loved ones. Elena has always been a comfort to me in my life. She knew my love of knitting and when I first published a pattern in a magazine, she told everyone that I was the “centerfold”! Elena always makes me laugh! She asked me recently if I would make fingerless mitts for her granddaughter, and I was thrilled to do this for her. These mitts symbolize the twists and turns as well as the steady times in the ever changing times throughout our friendship.
