Last year I made the Álafoss sweater for my husband, and in the end I had plenty of yarn left over.
So I made a sweater for our daughter Eleonore!

The size is about 122/128 cl (Swedish sizes), and the internet says that it should be suitable for kids 7-8 year old.
My daughter is now 5 years old and it fits her perfectly. When I made the sweater and took the photo she was 4 years old. However, she is taller than her friends and clothes for a typical 5-year-old is way too small for her.

So CHECK THE SIZE BEFORE YOU START! I don’t want anyone to end up with a sweater that is too small!

Size: about 122/128 cl, 6-8 years.
Yarn: Ístex Álafosslopi (100 % wool), 100 g = 100 m.
Scrap yarn of Drops Air or another soft yarn for the inner neckline.
Gauge: 13 sts och 18 rows = 10x10 cm stockinette st.
Needle: circular needles 4,5 mm and 6 mm.

Color 1: 0054 light ash heather, ca 200 g
Color 2: 1230 dark green, ca 100 g
Color 3: 0005 black heather, ca 100 g
Color 4: 0058 dark grey heather, ca 50 g
