Elephant crochet pattern.

This measures about 10cm tall and 16cm in length when made with double knit yarn, or about 14cm tall and 25cm in length when made with aran yarn.
When I make this elephant I use the Grey shade of Stylecraft yarn, but any grey colour would work well.

Materials:

For the smaller size animal:
3.5 mm hook (US E hook)
Approx 35g grey double knit weight yarn
Small amount of black yarn for details
Small amount of white / light coloured yarn for details
Stuffing

For the larger size animal:
5 mm hook (US H hook)
Approx 60g grey aran weight yarn
Small amount of black yarn for details
Small amount of white / light coloured yarn for details
Stuffing

Stitches needed:

• chain
• slip stitch
• double crochet / treble crochet
• decrease
• increase
• half double crochet / half treble crochet
• working in the back loop only
