My MIL asked for a pair of gray chenille mittens for Christmas. I found my yarn first, then searched for a project that would fit with it. I attempted a pattern written for “any super bulky yarn,” but it looked like garbage because of the wormy nature of this chenille. I decided to wing it on much smaller needles. I haven’t reinvented the wheel or revolutionized the craft with this pattern (my first!), but I hope it will provide a helpful option for anyone who gets a similar request.

I drafted my own pattern as I knitted. I wrote it out largely for my own benefit, so I’d be able to make the same thing twice! However, feel free to make your own pair of chenille mittens for personal use.
