This is the pattern for a elephant granny square appliqué. I do have this pattern available for free on my website if you would prefer that option. The link is down below, but I’ve made it available for people to download as well for $1 on Ravelry.

I’ve used 8 ply cotton and a 4.5mm crochet hook, but you can use different sizes depending on what you’re most comfortable with.

• Any thickness crochet cotton or yarn, I used 8 ply yarn which is light worsted in the US and DK in the UK in colours green, grey and white.
• A crochet hook, I used a 4.5mm hook.
• A darning needle to weave in ends.
• Scissors.
• Sewing thread and a needle to stitch the elephant together.
• Black cotton to embroider on the eyes and the markings on the trunk.
