The Elephant Lovey pattern includes instructions for making the head, ears, arms, trunk & blanket for this adorable lovey!

This pattern is compatible with the Mix & Match Lovey pattern. Any of the 6 original animals can be made with the new “Elly” blanket or an Elephant can be made with any of the 3 original blankets!

As with the original Mix & Match Lovey there is minimal assembly. The only parts that need to be sewn on are the trunk & ears. Even the blanket is attached without sewing!

It has been tested in various worsted weight yarns so you can switch it up without worry! Shown in Hobby Lobby I Love This Yarn: Light Grey, Greybeard (medium grey), Light Peach & Graphite (dark grey).

Instructions for embroidering the eyes

Materials needed:
4mm hook (for head, arms, trunk & ears)
5mm hook (for blankets)
Your favorite soft, worsted weight yarn (about 195 yards)
Stuffing
Embroidery thread
Finishing needle, embroidery/tapestry needle

A note about gauge:

1. Make sure your stitches are tight enough that the stuffing does not show through. If it does, go down a hook size.
2. Finished Lovey may be slightly smaller/larger than listed if your tension is tighter/looser. Just try to stay consistent so the pieces are the correct proportions.*
