Do you like elephants? Perhaps you know a new mommy who is decorating the nursery with elephants? If you can knit and purl, you can make this fun elephant and heart themed baby blanket.

It is knit with size 10 needles to achieve a very airy texture, but a denser, smaller blanket may be made with smaller needles.

I used about 1 1/2 skeins of the Hobby Lobby yarn, about 550 yards.

The elephants and hearts are charted, but the charts are also written out for those of you who prefer written instructions.

This blanket will be a delightful heirloom to be cherished by baby and mommy alike!
