Suddenly he stopped and stammered, overcome with surprise to hear himself saying such things. But Goldberry laughed.
“Welcome!” she said. “I had not heard that folk of the Shire were so sweet-tongued. But I see you are an elf-friend; the light in your eyes and the ring in your voice tells it. This is a merry meeting! …”
-- Goldberry to Frodo, The Fellowship of the Ring by J.R.R. Tolkien
The Elf Friend gloves are an understatedly elegant yet practical accessory with an Art Deco feel. Twisted ribbing extends into columns of ribbing on the back of the hand, with knotwork accents. The reversed stocking stitch background creates visual interest and a smooth feeling fit. A perfect pair of gloves for the gentleman or lady on the town.
